Bufo Ventures is a fully licensed and bonded tour operator, holding Air Travel Organisers' Licence (ATOL) number 4821 issued by the Civil Aviation Authority. This licence means that accounts are subject to regular and stringent independent scrutiny.

With regard to the Everest Marathon this means:

  1. For participants who are in the UK when booking, the ATOL bond covers all arrangements, even if arranging your own air travel to Nepal.
  2. For participants who are outside the UK when booking, the ATOL licence only covers arrangements when air travel starts in the UK.

In the event of financial failure before departure, all monies paid will be refunded from the Air Travel Trust Fund. If failure occurs while you are abroad, the Air Travel Trust Fund will provide funds so that you can complete your trip. More information regarding the licence and ATOL bond can be found on the ATOL web site: www.atol.org.uk.

ATOL Protected

For those participants who are not covered by the ATOL licence but who live in the EC, all holiday payments are paid into Bufo Ventures' Clients' Trust Account until completion of the holiday. In the event of financial failure before departure, this account will refund any monies paid. This complies with EC regulations: Consumer Protection - The Package Travel, Holiday and Package Tour Regulations 1992.
